Opening Number

The Leading Player demonstrates they've got "Magic To Do."
Instead of doing the "light curtain" of hands, or white gloves in blacklight (as I have done before), we decided to give the opening number a decidedly Fosse feel.   The actors "oozed" onstage up at the top of the rake, through haze and rays of light (blinding the audience to great effect -- showing off the great silhuettes of the dancers) and came downstage lit primarily by the low blinders in the back, and with shinbusters on the sides.
