Parris' home -- preset
Parris' home was simple, as was all the scenery, but given he was a minister who perhaps "dreamed of cathedrals and not of clap board meetin' houses" (John Proctor, Act II), this set had a slightly more "ornate" gable window. It was backed with black tricot. Behind the set piece was a portal with the beam-look continued. Behind that was a black scrim, with the walls of the Act III set visible, as if they were also part of the Acts I and II sets. The slats allowed the cyc to show.
