The Love of Three Oranges

A show with much, much silliness, the director and I saw a lot of opportunity to fill this show with as much visual gaggery as we could. The show is Commedia, but we also added a sense of Elizabethan style to it.

Behind the raked platform were three “fences” – that puppet versions of the characters were seen coming and going. With each “fence,” the puppets were different sizes, to emulate the characters further in the distance, from those that were closer. Much silliness.

Some of this silliness was very Python-esque, so I added Python-esque clouds overhead.
